Welcome to our 'Meet the Spider AF Team' series! Today, we're showcasing one of our newest talented members behind our ad fraud prevention company, Pete. Get to know his background, their role at Spider AF, and what makes them a valuable member of our team.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background?

My name is Pete, I’m 25 years old and currently based in Cardiff. I’ve been working in sales for nearly 2 years and I grew up just outside Reading in England.

I attended the University of Liverpool and am a big Liverpool fan.

I've been lucky enough to visit quite a few countries in my life up to now but I enjoy going to new places, meeting new people, and eating new food (very cliche I know).

What inspired you to pursue a career in your field?

I took a module at University that focused on the idea of 'selling' and the theory behind it.

It never interested me too much before this but when you break it down to what sales is simply, which is uncovering the real problems people are having and how our solution could potentially solve these problems, it was something I thought I'd be good at.

Plus it doesn't hurt to have a lecturer who was passionate about the subject and really cared.

Can you share a proud moment or accomplishment in Spider AF so far?

It’s too early to tell as I’ve only been here for a week or two however I am really looking forward to a great week at MWC Barcelona.

What’s a fun fact about you that many people may not know?

I'm good at making strange noises with my mouth e.g. whistling, clicking.

How do you like to spend your weekends or time off?

I like watching sports (Rugby, Football, Cricket, UFC, NFL) and Films/TV Shows. My favourite films are Hot Fuzz, Goodfellas and the Dark Knight, while my favourite TV Shows are The Sopranos and Better Call Saul. I also love playing games (Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War, Witcher 3).

Reading, I am currently reading 'The Manual of Detection by Jedediah Berry. Without spoiling anything, the book focuses on the steps to becoming a detective through the eyes of the main character Charles Unwin. Cooking and Eating are two things that I enjoy massively as well.

How would you describe the culture at Spider AF?

I have just recently joined but the welcome I have gotten so far has been great and the people I do know well have each other's back every day of the week. I think that's vital in a successful company.

Where is the best place you have visited?

Japan. To be specific, either Tokyo or Itsukushima.

What is the best career lesson you have learnt so far?

What goes around, comes around. Treating people with respect and developing true connections will always be beneficial in the long run. Life works in mysterious ways.

If you had a podcast who would your first guest be (past or present)
