Getting started
You can analyze traffic sources, keywords, and device data when you use Spider AF with Google Ads. To do this, you must set up a tracking template.
By setting up tracking at the account level, you can track all campaigns and ad groups together.
Account-level setup
- In Google Ads, click Settings and then Account settings in the left menu.
- Click Tracking.
- If there is already text in the Tracking template field, please contact us.
1. If the Tracking template field is empty, copy and paste this text into it:
{lpurl}?network=google_{network}&placement={placement}&keyword={keyword}&device={devicemodel}&saf_src=google_{network}&saf_pt={placement}&saf_kw={keyword}&saf_dv={devicemodel}&saf_cam={campaignid}&saf_grp={adgroupid}&saf_ad={creative}&saf_acc=[InsertGoogleCustomerID]
2. Click Save.
- Enable Auto-Tagging if not enabled
- Check the box and save.
